After capturing a few pics a nice steamy hot coffee was in order. I headed up State Street to a McD's. Leaving the drive-thru I saw the strangest sight. So I had to pull in and take a quick pic.

Winter Down
We have been having a real cold spell. Temperatures below 0 most of the week with wind chills below -10. We have also set all kinds of snow records, midway through January and all ready having over 100 inches of snow this Winter. But, today was a bit warmer, a nice tolerable twenty degrees. Even though we didnt have any sunshine it was nice to go out and capture a few pictures. I came across some pigeons this morning some how enduring the winter blast with their natural down. (hence my title)

Great clarity on the pigeons. They look so fluffy! What is that, a mannequin. (Hopefully it is and isn't a dismembered corpse LOL).

They are two very cold birds. I have always been amazed at the sheen on pigeons wings.

Those pigeons know what to do when it gets cold - fluff yourself up - they look funny that way. That last picture is very eerie.
