This concludes my homework assignment for the week. I am so excited. I have put my camera in manual setting and using permenant locktite to leave it forever there. No longer will I be tempted to set the dial on a pre-programed setting.
For my 3rd portrait I took a shot of my dear husband Jim sitting in his MG. Looking at it now it probably isn't the best pose making him turn his neck around.
I have only done one or two black and whites so it was a little test for myself.

I like the B&W treatment!!
This looks great! I love your b&w, nice and crisp. I'd really like to see a shot of the whole car one day! I love stuff like that. :)
Looks nice! and you're b/w looks good too!
Good for you on manual. You got great sharpness and bokeh!
Think you did great!!! Love the b&w!
Wonderful photo, and I like how his head is turned. What is the photography class you're taking? I'm taking a six week one by Candice Stringham, on-line. Our first assignment was on shutter speed.
This photo is so amazing. The b/w is moody, and the details of the car really complete the look. I love it. Sometimes I don't think portraits are as much about perfection as they are about capturing something raw about the person you are taking it of.
Great shot, I really like the b/w! I learned manual mode almost a year ago after trying for a few years to 'get' it, now I can't imagine going back! :)
Awesome! Good job!
